The NAACP works to achieve social justice and eliminate racial prejudice through the dedicated work of committee members. From the ballot box to the classroom, volunteers and leaders of the South Dade Branch are champions of social justice fighting to ensure that the voices of our communities are heard and represented.
Since re-chartering in 2019, the NAACP South Dade Branch has held numerous drives and activities. We are committed to advocating for our communities — including in the wider county area — and on providing community resources that will help advance the educational and socio-economic goals of the residents within the South Miami-Dade County area. The overarching mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equal rights of all persons and to eliminate racial discrimination.
The vision of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is to ensure a society in which all individuals have equal rights without discrimination based on race.
